Come to the table

Howdy folks and welcome to another little peak into to my craft fair life :D  Can you see the tablecloth,  I stamped it with my welcome Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up!.  Such a lovely way to jazz up a plain inexpensive cloth.

I apologise for the dark pictures, but as I arrive to set up at 8.30 am and wanted to get some pics before the people come to touch the 'precious' LOL! they were the best shots I got.  You will see  many, many different things on the groaning table and some have been inspired by the fabulous people out there in blog land.  I am slowly turning into a small haberdashers with my buttons and ribbon stash (retired SU stuff) for sale and I have to say I love playing shop!.

I wanted to show you a new removable broach card that have proved so popular. Hope you have enjoyed your trip with me to the fair. Have a great day & see you soon :D

Living in a box (tutorial)

Morning and welcome to a little tutorial of the Christmas box decorations from the other day.  A few of you asked for a tutorial on how they were made :D

Firstly using Stampin' Up!s petal card extra-large double punch, punch out four pieces and stamp your image with white craft ink in the centre of the embossed square of the punch out.

1. Glue opposite tabs down.  2. & 3. glue down one flap and 4. leave as is.

Now glue all four pieces together as in order shown in stages 1 -4.

Now you will have a square tube like (if that makes sense!?) shape.  Glue down all four flaps on one side only.  Punch two holes in the top two opposite flaps.  Thread some gold elastic through the two holes, pull tight and make a bow and leave the tails of the thread to about 10cms and tie knot at the end. Add some pearls for decoration.

Hope that's as clear as mud for you LOL!  Have a great day & see you soon x

Supplies from Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Contempo Christmas and cute by the inch (hostess set). Ink: Cherry cobbler and whisper white craft. Card stock: Old olive, cherry cobbler and very vanilla. Misc: Basic pearls and gold elastic cord. Tools used: Ornament punch, petal card punch and 1/16" handheld circle punch.

Remeber remember

Wowzer! - I bet that woke up your eyes lol!  A design team card for In Love with Stamping today using the eye watering colour combo of red, yellow, orange and black which represent fireworks.  I didn't half ponder over this one (my crumb cake/kraft card stock quivers silently in the corner at them LOL!)  but I am really happy with the zingy contrast between the colours.

Super fly today as I am knee deep in snowman soup! for the many craft fairs ahead of me (I love it really).

Have a great & see you soon x

A little punch magic for you today to make good old snowman soup.  Every year I have made this and each time I try a different look to the packaging.  I decided to have a play with my punches from Stampin' Up!  It happily coincided with the gift packaging design team challenge over at In Love with Stamping if you want to see the full directions and perhaps join in the fun too.

Have a great weekend & see you soon x

Deck the halls

Morning, some tree decorations for you today.  They were part of my recent class where we used the gorgeous colour combination of cherry cobbler and old olive to make some Christmas projects.  I made these two types of decorations with Stampin' Up!s ornament and petal card punches.  You can even store little chocs inside the square one.  I was so excited to make these as this year we are having a real tree!  We haven't had one for many years and I have treated my self to some glass baubles too (I know it's obscene but I do feel a bit Christmasy already - yikes!)

Have a great day & see you soon x

November rain

Morning and hope your spookish activities from the weekend went well.  We had a houseful of little ghouls, ghosties and bats round at ours - much screamingly good fun was had.  The children must have had a blast as they made me make my husband go to the off licence after they had left lol!  I had definitely "earned" a small glass of vino ;D.

Today being the 1st of November must mean design team projects over at In Love With Stamping.  My card uses the faux tearing challenge, this was easily achieved with an old piece of teared card stock and some ink - a really nice effect I think.

Hope you can join in the fun too :D
