That's the way I like it

Hello and hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend. More felty love for your today and the broach (above) I can safely post now as it was a gift for my dear friend Aimes. I was so chuffed with the sewing in a circle thing as I've only attempted straight lines lol!

A few of you kindly expressed a wish on how I made the hair accessories from the other day and so I took a few pics. The one above was super easy, I made it using the sweet pea felt flowers and leaves from Stampin' Up! and sewed them to the clip (these clips have 3 holes for jewellery but found they are the best for sewing things to them).

The cupcake ones were a little more detailed. I used the smallest cloud die for the cupcake topping and made the bottom case template myself. I put a small running stitch around the lot to keep them together and sewed a button at the top and attached them again to the clips I used before.

Have a great and see you soon with pictures of the craft fair :D

Supplies from Stampin' Up! Sweet pea felt accessories, baroque motifs stamp, versamark and kraft card stock. Other PTI: buttons, cream twine and daily design sentiments. Cloud die from MFT, felt from paper and string, fabric from fabric rehab. Clips from Ebay.

Strange fruit

Mmmm don't you just want make yourself a fruit salad after looking at these cards :D I am definitely feeling summary and have had these note cards in my mind with all this lovely weather. Together with the fun challenge over at a passion for papertrey to use only one layer I put these together in the sunshine yesterday.

This one is using cameo coral ink from Stampin' Up! and I wanted to use this ink in particular as it reminded me of pink grapefruit (mmm I do love a bit of pink grapefruit completely peeled and cut into segments with a little sprinkle of sugar on top).

Oooh before I forget I am off to the BIG craft fair tomorrow and Sunday at Swansea Waterfront Museum to sell my crafty wares. I am going to take lots of pictures and hopefully will post next week with all the crafty delights on show. I'm also in the middle of shooting a few pics of my felty hair clips too as you were very kind in expressing how I had made them ;D

Have a great weekend and see you Monday xx

Obsession

Hee hee, yes I have gone felt crazy as you can see. Anything I can get my hands on these days that remotely looks like felt gets made into a clip and or broach lol! Can you see the sweet pea felt flowers and leaves from Stampin' Up! at the bottom - don't they look brill.

It all started (as it always does with us crafters) when I wanted to make a few little pretty clips for my niece Evee. Once I started of course had to get every piece of felt ever invented ha! and then scouting for any current supplies that could be made, sewn, crocheted or knitted into hair accessories. Have you seen the cupcake one! I was tempted by the cuteness to wear it myself!!!

Hope you have a feltilishess day :D

I wish you all the best things in the world and hopefully a little something has arrived at chez toi ;D She truly is the sweetest and most thoughtful of friends and wouldn't you know she's a dab hand at the ol' crafting too.

My card for today may look a little familiar, the layout is the same as the father's day card I made here. This one I made first and loved the look of it so much I adapted it for the other one. I will be entering it in the stitch challenge over at crafty creations.

We're football crazy

Well maybe not football crazy but I have been known to appreciate the beautiful game now and then. Of course hubby has the next month mapped out which happily coincides with an extremely busy time for me preparing for upcoming craft fayre's. Firstly this Saturday at the Ostreme Centre in Mumbles and then the massive 2 day event at Swansea's Waterfront Museum on Saturday & Sunday 26th & 27th of June - I really do relish these events.

Ooooh I have been naughty recently and bought a stash of gorgeous fabric, I can't sew for toffee but 'had to have them'. Thought I'd better justify buying them with a little fabric and cork flower. I will be entering my card into the 'flower' challenge over at a spoon full of sugar.

Hope you have a great weekend and see you on Monday x
